Four Ancient Christian Writings from Nag Hammadi
(e-Seminar with David Trobisch)

December 1945 two brothers from the Nag Hammadi region in Upper Egypt discovered a jar partly buried in the ground. Inside the jar they found remains of 12 codices. As it turned out, these codices contained a collection of Christian writings from antiquity, some of which were well documented from other manuscripts, others however had only be known by their titles or through a few fragments, and some were completely new.

Dr. David Trobisch invites you to join him for four 90 minute sessions. Each session will concentrate on a different gospel. The objective is to encourage everyone to read these texts. We will discuss their contents and relevance. Special focus will be given on the connection to the New Testament and to the impact of these gospels on Biblical scholarship.
